Stand-Up Comedy Impact: NYLaughs Grant Recognition

At NYLaughs, we are greatly humbled by the support of our mission from these institutions, which helps us continue bringing joy to New Yorkers through stand-up comedy in some of the most iconic venues of this vibrant city.

As a nonprofit that brings free stand-up comedy to NYC parks, plazas, libraries, and wherever New Yorkers gather and tried to disconnect from the hurdle, we seek to enrich the city through humor, while amplifying diverse comedic voices.

We’ve worked with legends and rising stars alike to turn public space into public joy for over a decade, but nothing of this could be possible without the support of these institutions.

The NYLaughs Effect: Where Laughter Meets Purpose

When city stress hits hard, laughter hits back harder. At NYLaughs, we’re building something that matters: spaces where New Yorkers can pause, connect, and remember what it feels like to breathe freely. Because a better New York starts with a laughing New York.

We’ve transformed how this city experiences comedy—from Battery Park City under the stars to Lincoln Center’s iconic stages, from Pier 57’s skyline views to neighborhoods that rarely see this caliber of performance. These aren’t just shows. They’re proof that stand-up comedy belongs in the cultural conversation, that community can be built through shared laughter.

Every performance is free and accessible because we believe culture shouldn’t come with a cover charge. We’ve created the kind of audiences The New York Times, Pix11, and WABC7NY can’t stop covering—New Yorkers from every borough, claiming their patch of grass, experiencing comedy and art performances exactly as it should be: big, bold, and for everyone.
