#LITP 2019 is a passion project run solely by KICK-ASS volunteers to enrich NY lives while deepening an appreciation of stand up comedy as a unique NY cultural asset. Funding for #LITP 2019 is made possible in part with the generosity, support and public funding given by the NYC City Council Discretionary Fund and Councilmember Joseph C. Borelli and the Battery Park City Authority, in addition to grants via the Washington Square Park Conservancy, The Laura B. Vogler Foundation, The Educational Foundation of America and The Foundation for Fairer Capitalism. HEADLINER: TODD BARRY
Todd Barry has released three one-hour stand-up specials including his latest one for Netflix, “Spicy Honey” He's appeared on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "The Late Show with David Letterman, " "Conan" and "Late Night With Seth Meyers" and his acting credits include "The Wrestler," "Road Trip," "Flight of the Concords," "Chappelle's Show," "Spin City," "Sex and the City." You may have heard his voice on the animated series "Bob’s Burgers," "Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist," and "Aqua Teen Hunger Force." Todd is also the author of the critically-acclaimed 2017 travel memoir "Thank You For Coming To Hattiesburg."
In the last year, Nore Davis has released his third comedy album Too Woke, filmed his first Comedy Central Half Hour which will air in Fall 2019, made two late night television appearances (including an interview) on Conan, was featured on the final season of hit HBO show2 Dope Queens, released his first comedy special You Guys Are Dopeon Amazon Prime, is the recurring host for Marvel's digital series Let's Play,
Petey DeAbreu is a fast-rising star on the New York City comedy scene. He has appeared on Comedy Central and every major comedy club in NYC.
Comedy fans might recognize Adrienne from her performances as a semifinalist on season 7 of NBC's Last Comic Standing. Adrienne won the first ever People's Choice award at the New York Comedy Festival. She was also a semifinalist in the festival's New York Funniest Stand-Up Contest and a runner-up in the New York Underground Comdy Festival's Best of the Boroughs contest. In 2010 Adrienne made her international debut as part of Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival, where she took part in "New Faces."
Erin has appeared most recently on CONAN, This Week at the Comedy Cellar, and truTV's Laff Mobb's Laff Tracks. She's also been featured on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Last Comic Standing, Live at Gotham, Gotham Comedy Live, Wanda Sykes Presents Herlarious, and Standup in Stilettos. Erin co-hosted three seasons of Exhale, a panel talk series on the ASPiRE television network.

HEADLINER: DAMIEN LEMON
Damien, host of truTV's hit game show series "Comedy Knockout" was picked to be a "New Face" at the 2013 Montreal "Just for Laughs" Comedy Festival. Damien has been featured on MTV2's "Hip Hop Squares" and performed standup on "Russell Simmons: The Ruckus", as well as his own "Half Hour" on Comedy Central. He was a series regular on MTV's "Guy Code", "Guy Court", and the "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge", and was featured in "The Amazing Spiderman" from SONY Pictures Entertainment.
Christian is perhaps best known as one of the original panelists on VH1's "Best Week Ever" and as Chad, the only white roommate in "Chappelle's Show's" infamous "Mad Real World" sketch. He played Martin on the popular syndicated sitcom "Are We There Yet?" and politics junkies will recognize Christian from his many appearances on "Countdown with Keith Olbermann". Most recently, Christian was the creator and co-host of A&E's "Black & White", which examined current events and social trends through the lens of Race.
Matt was selected as a New Face Character at 2018's "Just For Laughs Festival" in Montreal and was a standout in the 2017 CBS Diversity Showcase. Matt is the VO host for the pop culture gameshow Trivial Takedown for FUSE, and has written for the past two seasons of Jokers Wild starring Snoop Dogg on TBS. Matt is currently the newest comic to join the HQ Trivia team of hosts- catch him on a iphone near you!

HEADLINER: MICHAEL KOSTA
Michael Kosta is a stand-up veteran who has appeared on “The Tonight Show”, “Conan”, “Late Night with Seth Meyers “and “@midnight.” Michael has been a fixture on TV since his breakout performance at HBO’s “U.S. Comedy Arts Festival.” Prior to “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah,” Michael co-created, produced and starred in “The Comment Section,” guest-hosted “Attack of the Show” and co-hosted “Crowd Goes Wild with Regis Philbin.” He also served as a correspondent on “The Soup” spinoff series “The Soup Investigates” Michael starred in his own stand-up special, “Comedy Central Presents: Michael Kosta”, and released his comedy album, “Comedy for Attractive People,” in 2015. He was also recently seen on Comedy Central’s “This Week at the Comedy Cellar” and “This Is Not Happening.”
Jocelyn is a New York based standup comedian originally from Singapore. She is the 2016 Ladies of Laughter Newcomer Winner at Turning Stone Resort Casino. Having lived much of her life in Asia, she brings a unique perspective to her experiences in the United States, which she draws from to entertain audiences with hilarious anecdotes and humorous observations. A lawyer-turned comedian, she is the winner of the Gotham Comedy Club's Funniest Lawyer Competition, the first runner up of the She-Devil Comedy Festival, and has been a guest comedian on the Howard Stern Channel of Sirius XM. She is also a two time winner of the Moth Storyslams, and enjoys weaving storytelling into her stand-up.
Since becoming a comedian at the age of 17, Jourdain has found enough success to keep from working at his family's funeral home business. He has written for Viceland and was a writer for 50 Central on BET. Jourdain was highlighted as one of 2018's New Faces at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal, was a finalist in 2017's Stand Up NBC in Los Angeles, has participated in Atlanta's Laughing Skull Festival, was a finalist in North Carolina's Funniest Competition and consistently headlines at clubs and colleges across the country. 2018 marked Jourdain's network television debut on The Tonight Show.
Vanessa is a national headliner and veteran of the New York comedy scene. She recently appeared on the Showtime comedy special: "Funny Women of a Certain Age" with Fran Drescher. She has appeared on VH1's Lords of the Revolution, Comedy Central Presents, and her stand up DVDs, American Anglomaniac and Drunk. Vanessa has performed for Comedy Central in Australia, as well as numerous shows in the UK and Amsterdam. She has also received critical acclaim for her one woman shows, Flashback and The Hold. When she's not busy performing across the world, Vanessa often runs comedy workshops for aspiring comedians.
Moody McCarthy is a comedian who has made numerous TV appearances, including performances on Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Late Show with David Letterman, and America's Got Talent. He regularly performs at top New York comedy clubs such as the renowned Comedy Cellar, Gotham Comedy Club, and the World Famous Comic Strip Live.
Alingon is a stand up comedian known for his tight jokes, original thoughts, and affable presence. He made his television debut on NBC's Last Comic Standing. He has since been invited to do stand up on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Conan, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and Adam Devine's House Party on Comedy Central. Additionally, he wrote for The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and Adam Ruins Everything. Alingon went on to be named one of the "New Faces of Comedy" at Montreal's Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. He also won both the Boston Comedy Festival and the "Funniest Comic in New England" contest in the same year. Alingon was a writer for the humor magazine The Harvard Lampoon.

HEADLINER: ROY WOOD JR.
Roy Wood Jr’s comedy has entertained millions across stage, television and radio. Roy joined Comedy Central’s Emmy-winning hit series, “The Daily Show with Trevor Noah” in 2015. In 2017, he was named the new host of Comedy Central’s storytelling series, “This is Not Happening,” which will launch a fifth season next year. His first Comedy Central one-hour stand-up special, “Father Figure,” premiered in 2017 along with an extended uncensored album of the same name released by Comedy Central Records. His second Comedy Central one-hour stand-up special, “Roy Wood Jr.: No One Loves You,” premiered at the beginning of 2019 on January 25th. Roy Wood Jr. was on Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch For list in 2016.
Entertainment Weekly has described the thought-provoking comedy of Roy Wood Jr. as “charismatic crankiness.” Prior to “The Daily Show,” Wood co-starred for two seasons season on TBS’ “Sullivan & Son,” playing the loving drinking buddy of star Steve Byrne, who has returned to Pittsburgh to run the family bar.
Wood appeared at the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in the New Faces Showcase, an appearance that lead the Hollywood Reporter to call Roy a "standout". He has also been a regular contributor to ESPN’s Sports Nation. His first full comedy CD, 'Things I Think, I Think,' was released in 2013.
With the name "Vladimir," few people expect a Dominican from The Bronx to take the stage. His comedic style is the fruit of an immigrant Dominican family living in the cultural mecca that is New York City and is described as an elegant combination of urban grit and intellect.
In 2016, Vlad was named one of the "Top 10 Comics to Watch" by Variety and was honored at the "Just For Laughs" festival. Vlad was the only one of his "New Faces" class to be chosen to perform as part of the "CW Gala" hosted by Howie Mandel. In 2017, Vlad made his late-night standup debut on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and performed again at the "Just for Laughs" Gala hosted by Lilly Singh. Vlad has developed a pilot for NBC about his life.
Carmen Lynch has been featured on a string of late night shows including "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," "Conan," "The Late Show with David Letterman," and "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson." Carmen has also been seen on "Inside Amy Schumer," and "This Week at the Comedy Cellar." In 2017, Carmen performed a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with her show "Lynched" and her comedy album "Dance Like You Don't Need the Money" was reviewed by The New York Times as "one of five to stream" and was voted the #1 comedy album in 2017 by SiriusXM.
