In trying times, “Fake News” will make you realize the true cost of the “FREE” in our freedom, but spreading “Fun News,” goodwill and sharing uproarious laughter should come at no charge! So NYLaughs is encouraging New Yorkers to scour their homes for that elusive library card, unearth every overdue literary masterpiece they've propped up under furniture and urge Oprah to push humor to the top of her book club selections because we're bringing sexy sense and sensibility back (with a huge swath of satire) on November 9 to the NYPL! It’s first come, first served so grab a spot early between the Mark Twain and “Yo Mama” literary offerings lining the shelves. Doors open at 7p and the performance is from 7:30-9p.
Additionally, we’re pairing that all-you-can-eat buffet of good stuff with FREE refills of some of our favorite artists from our “Laughter in the Park” series over the years.
It’ll be one-stop hilarity and our headliner Ben Bailey will keep the meter running! Stay to research all the jokes you didn’t understand! There won't be a single librarian in the house that will shush you for laughing out loud! The only "Fake News" here is that you have anything to lose - The News is fun, the comedy is free, so come check us out like a worn copy of "50 Shades of Grey!"

Seasoned stand-up comic and licensed cab driver Ben Bailey will be driving our audience to hysterics as the headliner and host of 2017’s “Laughter In The City” on November 9th at the New York Public Library at 18 W 53rd St. Beginning his career in comedy as a bouncer for The Comedy Store in LA, Bailey literally came through the front door to the stage to build a 25 year stand-up career. Bailey has guested on multiple TV series and has done a pair of Comedy Central stand-up specials and others for Netflix and Amazon, and can be heard on podcasts “Tall But True” with D.C. Benny and “Speaking of Movies” with co-host Emma Gleeson. The three time Emmy winning host and executive producer of the Emmy winning “Cash Cab” Bailey, will be returning to Discovery later this year to reboot the addictive series and we are thrilled to have him driving the evening on November 9th as the headliner of 2017’s “Laughter In The City!”
Anthony is an NYC-based comedian. He recently made his network-television debut on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and was the 2015 winner of Caroline's "March Madness." He can be seen on TV Land's "The Jim Gaffigan Show" and in regular appearances on Fox News Channel's "Red Eye."
Harrison was one of Comedy Central's "Comics to Watch/" He has won several awards for his comedy, including the Andy Kaufman Award (2010) for creativity and originality in comedy. He was featured recently on NBC's "America's Got Talent," as well as "Last Comic Standing," AXS.TV's "Gotham Comedy Live" and National Geographic Channel's "Brain Games," Punchline Magazine named Harrison one of the "Breakout Artists" of the year.
Erin was a semifinalist on NBC's Last Comic Standing, and co-hosted three seasons of Exhale, a candid talk series on "Magic" Johnson's ASPiRE network. Erin can be seen nightly in many of New York City's top comedy clubs, and has performed stand-up on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, OWN's Wanda Sykes Presents Herlarious, Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, AXS.TV's Gotham Comedy Live and TV Guide Network's Standup in Stilettos.
Charlie is an Australian TV host and comedian. He is best known as a former co-host on the comedic current affairs program "The Project." He currently hosts "The Weekly," a popular weekly news satire program.
